The old colonel and his dear wife, rumor has it they almost smiled that day. Maybe it was the weight of a long lived life, maybe it was the fact that photos used to take forever back in those days, but despite their stern look I still like to believe they were happy! I'm still searching for a photo of them younger, who knows, they might even be smiling in one of them!
