Repetition

What is weird? Not a weird thing, but weirdness itself. What defines something as weird? Is it just the uncommonness of something? Is it all just a matter of how frequently you are exposed to something? Like some sort of majority rule dictating what is normal and what isn't. But take a look at the most common thing that you can imagine, put it against a perfectly empty background and shine on it the strongest and most scrupulous light that you can and tell me that it isn't weird in any way. Normality is just a thin veneer barely hiding the true strangeness of things. Look at the mirror and notice the alien staring back at you. We are all weird. In the end it is all just a mater of repetition.
