Though no longer as common as they once were, there are still some that worship the void. This ancient religion praises emptiness above anything else. They believe that the universe is filled with emptiness and that there are more things that aren't than things that are. So they try to empty themselves of everything until they can become an almost nonexistent existence, permeating everything with nothingness. Even though their beliefs are quite controversial most people accept their presence thanks to the services that they provide to society, such as the cremation of the dead and cleaning of the city's sewers and trash. Many believe that they perform this activities as a form of compensation for being allowed to live there without any way of paying taxes, but the truth is that this strange behavior is part of their doctrine of exposing themselves to danger and filth in order to overcome their natural emotions of disgust and self-preservation. All in the hope of becoming empty.
