Easily found in many ruins, caverns and dungeons the common imp is known by many different names by different people. Names such as "dungeon rat", "ass pincher", "nose picker" and "Plato's man" have been recorded as local names for it, but it is its long single claw at the end of both arms that gives them their most widespread name, needlefinger. Although not bigger than a chicken, needlefingers still can cause a lot of trouble to local settlements and unadvised expeditions. Agile, brave and surprisingly smart a band of needlefingers can pose danger to children or even a lone traveler if provoked or deprived of natural food sources. The continuous encroaching of civilization into the wild has lead to more and more conflicts with this creature, with some countries even urging for their extinction.
